April 16-18, 2021

For this city

The Visio Church Conference is a three-day online event hosted by Tampere Pentecostal Church, through which we seek to invite Christians to come and be ignited by God’s mission for His church.

We want to remind ourselves about a mission, bigger than ourselves, which God is calling us to be a part of.

In these times of change, there is a great need for Christians who are determined to bring the message of the gospel forth together.

We believe that God has a clear mission and a calling for His church. Our Visio Conference seeks to serve this purpose: to equip and ignite.

GUEST SPEAKERS

This year’s Visio speakers have a heart and vision for the church; they come from varying backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to bring you a message that ignites a passion for the church, your city, and the world.

JYRKI PALMI // FIDA

Jyrki Palmi is the assistant executive director of Fida International, who has many years’ experience as both a pastor and missionary. Jyrki has a passion for engaging with people and lifting them up. He sees as the great wealth of the church the many different kinds of people from different levels of society and backgrounds coming together in unity

TIMO RAASSINA // JYVÄSKYLÄ

Timo Raassina is passionate about encouraging and empowering the next generation to engage in God’s vision. He is a friendly and compassionate man pastoring youth in the Jyväskylä church. He believes that the church is a place where people can learn from one another, and this is his own experience as well. Timo feels privileged to be a part of something bigger, working with God, through people.

SARA SAARELA // SASTAMALA

Sara is a theologian and writer whose understanding of God has been healed through her Bible training. She gets great joy working through biblical Hebrew and Greek and translating biblical texts in her own devotions. About the church she notes: “Relationships both break and heal people. We are called to be God’s hands and feet, listening ears and shoulders to cry on. And when this takes place, it brings change.”

JUKKA KAKRIAINEN // HELSINKI

Jukka is the pastor at the Missions Church in Helsinki. He enjoys polar bear swims, Italian food, but above all he loves God and sharing about God’s greatness. He believes that unity in the church is the core and it must be experienced and not just talked about. People coming from different backgrounds, yet experiencing unity and a sense belonging to the church is what it’s all about.

MARKKU OJANIEMI

Markku is one of the guests for the urban panel on Saturday. He loves studying the Word of God. He is one of the teachers at Iso Kirja Bible college. For him, the best part of the church is that it is instituted, built up, and sustained by God. He sees that the church is both uniform and changing as each generation proceeds in applying faith to its context

RONI LEMPIÄINEN

Roni is a musician and youth influence, whose passion is to help people to see just how great God is. He believes that the best part about the church is coming together either in small groups or crowds and learning more about the Bible and worshipping God. Roni is one of the panelists on Saturday.

KATJA CASTILLO

Katja is the children’s ministry coordinator in the Pentecostal churches of Finland. For her the best part of the church is the voices and commotion of children, spending time together, and letting God bring impact through it all. She is passionate of strengthening the dialogue between the church and society. She wants to see new ways of sharing one’s faith, values, and ethics. Katja is one of the panelists on Saturday

WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU

The Visio Conference ignites the heart. We believe that God is going to write a message in our minds and encourage us towards His purposes. It is of vital importance that we have opportunity to seek his vision and take part in it together.

“For this city” – theme leads us to think about our home cities and the people within. This theme emphasizes us to engage our cities with the love of God and take advantage of opportunities for the betterment of the city.

God has a plan for Tampere and for your city. He wants to ignite in us a love for our cities because each person in our city is valuable.

The Visio Conference will also encourage us to harness art and media as tools and to seek creative ways in seeing His Kingdom move forward. Come and join us to be built up together through His vision.
